Koru members can now earn Airpoints just by sharing their views thanks to new Kantar partnership

Koru members can now earn Airpoints for taking part in paid market research as Kantar New Zealand becomes a partner of Air New Zealand’s Koru programme.  Koru members can now choose to join Kantar’s ConsumerLink research panel and earn Airpoints by completing surveys, turning everyday opinions into rewards while helping shape products, services and public decisions across New Zealand.

The initiative brings together one of New Zealand’s most established research panels with one of the country’s most widely used loyalty programmes, expanding access to high quality research while giving participants more choice in how they are rewarded.

“Koru is a highly trusted and well recognised loyalty programme in New Zealand, so this partnership opens the door for more people to be rewarded by taking part in meaningful research,” says David Thomas, Chief Commercial Officer at Kantar New Zealand.

“It’s a simple exchange: share your views, earn Airpoints, and influence the things that affect everyday life.”

“For consumers, this is about making it more rewarding for those that have a say,” adds Nandan Modak, who leads the ConsumerLink panel in New Zealand.

“If you’re a Koru member, this is now another way that you can earn Airpoints by sharing your opinion on topics that matter to brands and businesses across the country.”
Thomas says the partnership strengthens panel quality and reach without changing how research is run.

“What’s important is what hasn’t changed. Kantar remains responsible for research operations, respondent quality and data governance.”

Members earn Airpoints based on the length and type of surveys they complete. The panel operates in line with the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020 and RANZ industry standards. No financial, banking or sensitive personal data is collected, and Koru member accounts and rewards remain governed independently by Air New Zealand’s Koru Programme Terms and Conditions.

For Koru members, the partnership offers a flexible, spend-free way to earn rewards while helping represent New Zealand voices in research and decision-making. Airpoints earned can be used on flights, upgrades, or on brands from the Airpoints Store.
